A collection of nine studies I made between 2009 and 2010.
The first six drawings were made for the exhibition 'night of art'
at the castle of Namedy, Andernach
on more than hundred years old paper
which made it impossible to scan it..sorry for the bad picture quality
Dr. Robert 'Bob' Moog was the inventor of one of the first widely used electronic musical instruments, the modular synthesizer which changed the way of making electronic-based music forever..
With this caricature I tried to give him more of a 'likeable mad-scientiest' look as I always personally saw him and also tried to keep the colours in a more realistic way..
which before I was always a little afraid of..
I've got to go practise these damned skin tones ;)
Klaus Kinski is always a pleasure to draw :)
Besides the wild-eyed maniac expression that Kinski
was known for and often reduced to,
I tried to show his calm side as well
so it got kind of a weird double portrait...
